Approaching Maritime Security through Anti-Terrorist Frigate
In this paper we propose a novel concept ship—Anti-Terrorist Frigate based on the in-depth analysis of the characteristics of naval escorting mission and the actual situations. Then, detailed discussion of the characteristics of the anti-terrorist escort missions, the combat system and the advantages of performing escorting missions. Finally, the analysis results showed that the anti-terrorist frigate do well and implement tasks effectively in the long term sea convoy escort mission. Also, anti-terrorist activities can greatly reduce the costs and effectively save combat ability of the main destroyers.
