THIS SYMPOSIUM CONSISTED OF FOUR PRESENTATIONS AND DISCUSSIONS RELATED TO THE PRACTICE OF MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION IN CANADA AND THE NEED FOR SUCH INSPECTION. THE REASONS FOR AND AGAINST VEHICLE INSPECTION PROGRAMS ARE ENUMERATED. TYPICAL INSPECTION COSTS ARE CITED.
