IMPACT OF COMMUNICATIONS OF HIERARCHICAL ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES

BY USING THE PREMISE THAT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS ARE REALLY A SOPHISTICATED FORM OF COMMUNICATION, THE IMPACT OF MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATIONS IS REVIEWED CONCERNING THE ORGANIZATIONAL HIERARCHY. THE IMPACT IS DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THE ROLES THAT INDIVIDUALS WILL ASSUME IN A HIERARCHICAL ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE, SPECIFICALLY STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS. COORDINATION OR ORGANIZATION PROGRAMS, AND FUNDS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY STRIVING TO CREATE: (1) DETERMINATIJON OF RESPONSIBILITY, (2) DEFINITION OF WORK OUTPUT, AND (3) ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES.
