ORGANIZING AND DIRECTING A STANDARDS PANEL
THE MINNESOTA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT ASSIGNED A TASK FORCE TO DEAL WITH MAINTENANCE WORK IMPROVEMENT AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES. A MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT FIRM WAS HIRED TO DIRECT THE STUDY. COMMITTEE STRUCTURES AND THE RESULTING PROBLEMS IN COMMUNICATIONS ARE DEFINED AND DESCRIBED, PARTICULARLY BETWEEN THE FIELD AND MAINTENANCE STANDARDS OFFICES.
