REPORT ON A FIVE-YEAR-OLD REPORTING SYSTEM
THE MAINTENANCE REPORTING SYSTEM IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE FISCAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM IN VIRGINIA; THIS REPORT REFERS TO THE PILOT WORK. THE SAME SOURCE DOCUMENTS PROVIDE THE INPUT FOR MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT REPORTS, FISCAL REPORTS, AND OTHER SPECIAL REPORTS ON EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS. THE FOUR MAIN SOURCE DOCUMENTS ARE: THE INDIVIDUAL TIME SHEET, THE CONVICT REPORT, THE EQUIPMENT RENTAL REPORT, AND THE STOCK ISSUE AND ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT. THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF A REPORTING SYSTEM ARE DISCUSSED.
