INTRODUCTORY REMARKS-MANAGEMENT VIEWS MAINTENANCE FROM THE EXECUTIVE SUITE
AN EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. ONE WAY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS OBJECTIVE IS TO REVISE AND COMPUTERIZE THE MAINTENANCE COST ACCOUNTING SYSTEM. OTHER METHODS ARE TO USE THE PLANNING-PROGRAMMING-BUDGETING SYSTEM (PPBS), TO PAY GREATER ATTENTION TO THE MANAGEMENT OF ROADSIDES AND TO ENFORCE SAFETY REGULATIONS.
