SUMMARY REPORT OF THE 1970 MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

THE 1970 MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP SPONSORED BY THE HIGHWAY RESEARCH BOARD WAS HELD IN AUGUST, 1970, AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA - CHAMPAIGN ON "THE CHALLENGE OF THE 70'S: MEETING CHANGE". THE PURPOSE WAS TO PROBE MORE DEEPLY INTO MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS THAT WERE IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION PHASE IN 1968, INCLUDING THOSE IN THE FORMATIVE STAGE. THE SUMMARY EMPHASIZED THE HIGHLIGHTS OF PAPERS AND DISCUSSIONS THAT DEALT DIRECTLY WITH THE THEME OF THE WORKSHOP.
