Israel Railways orders fuel saving-software

Locomotive Engineer Assistant Display and Event Recorder (LEADER) driver assistance-software, which was originally developed for North American freight operations, is now being installed by Israel Railways on each of the 15 Vossloh Espana Euro 4000 locomotives. This article shows that the system can offer fuel savings of up to 15% by using a dynamic model.
