RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN CONTAINER TERMINALS

Anyone who has followed the development of the Steadman Containers Limited Company and its concepts within both the Canadian and the international container scene, knows that our emphasis is on inland interfaces. Terminals are not the end of the line for containers, though there are an increasing number of big yards which might look like it. There should not be terminals for containers per say and if the term "container terminal" must be used, it should indicate a new concept which would be better described as a transfer point, an interface, or an intermodal distribution centre.
