THE PRESENT STATUS OF THE SULFATE CRYSTALLIZATION TEST FOR SOUNDNESS OF AGGREGATES
THE FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE THE MAGNITUDE AND UNIFORMITY OF TEST RESULTS ARE DISCUSSED. THE TEST METHOD IS NOT ADEQUATELY DEFINED OR EXPLORED, AND MUST BE MORE THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATED IF IT IS TO BE USEFUL. MAGNESIUM SULFATE AND SODIUM SULFATE ARE EQUALLY SATISFACTORY IN THE TEST. /AUTHOR/
