INORGANIC ZINC PRIMERS: EFFECTS OF POROSITY ON COVERAGE
INORGANIC ZINC PRIMERS, WIDELY ACCEPTED AND USED WITH GREAT SUCCESS, ARE DIFFERENT FROM CONVENTIONAL COATINGS IN THAT THEY ARE OPEN AND POROUS. THIS POROSITY MUST BE INCLUDED IN COVERAGE MEASUREMENTS TO PROVIDE THE USER WITH A BETTER INDICATION OF ACTUAL SPREADING RATE THAN THEORETICAL SOLIDS CALCULATIONS. METHODS USED TO RESOLVE THIS MEASUREMENT PROBLEM ARE DISCUSSED IN THIS PAPER. /AUTHOR/
