THE SIMULATED TRAFFIC POLISHING OF ROADSTONES
THE PAPER EXAMINES THE EFFECT ON AND THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TEXTURE AND THE FRICTION OF ROAD STONES DURING POLISHING. EXPERIMENTS DESIGNED TO REVEAL THE INTERACTION OF FRICTION AND POLISHING WERE PERFORMED. THE EFFECT OF STONE TYPES, ABRASIVE SIZES AND HARDNESS AND LUBRICANT VISCOSITY IS DEMONSTRATED. /AUTHOR/TRRL/
