DESIGN OPTIMIZATION OF WATERJET PROPULSION SYSTEMS FOR HYDROFOILS
The theoretical model of a waterjet system for the propulsion of hydrofoils is described. The theoretical model has been programmed for the computer and used to calculate the minimum weight propulsion systems for hydrofoils. Some of results of the optimization procedure are presented together with basic curves which summarize the performance of waterjet propulsion systems for hydrofoils.
