STRENGTH AND STIFFNESS OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE CORNERS
THIS PAPER PRESENTS RESULTS OF TESTS ON 54 REINFORCED LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE CORNERS SUBJECTED TO LOADS OPENING THE CORNER (I.E., PRODUCING TENSION ON THE INSIDE) ARE REPORTED. THE EFFECTS OF 28 TYPES OF REINFORCEMENT DETAILS ON ULTIMATE FLEXURAL STRENGTH, STIFFNESS, AND CRACKING WERE STUDIED, AND IT WAS FOUND THAT THE USE OF TWO SETS OF MUTUALLY PERPENDICULAR DIAGONAL REINFORCEMENTS SHOWED PROMISE. /AUTHOR/
