INJURY CONTROL IN TRAFFIC SAFETY
SEVERAL APPROACHES ARE DISCUSSED AND EVALUATED WHICH ARE CURRENTLY UTILIZED IN AN ATTEMPT TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF DEATHS AND CONTROL THE INJURIES RESULTING FROM MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS. THESE APPROACHES RANGE FROM THE ESTABLISHED COUNTERMEASURE PROGRAMS, SUCH AS DRIVER EDUCATION, TO BASIC LABORATORY STUDIES DESIGNED TO HELP BETTER UNDERSTAND THE CAPACITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMAN OPERATOR OF A VEHICLE. /AUTHOR/
