DRIVER'S TRACKING CHARACTER UNDER WIND GUST CONDITION
THE AUTHORS SUPPOSED THAT THE RESPONSE FUNCTION BETWEEN STEERING FORCE AND STEERING ANGLE SHOWED THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF DRIVER'S ARM. AND THEY COMPUTED THE TRANSFER FUNCTION BY MEANS OF THE SPECTRUM ANALYSIS AND SHOWED THAT THEY COULD ESTIMATE THE DEGREE OF DRIVER'S STRAIN BY IT. THEY CONFIRMED THIS DEGREE OF STRAIN CHANGED ACCORDING TO THE SURROUNDING CONDITIONS, SUCH AS RUNNING SPEED AND THE INTENSITY OF GUST. SO THEY PROPOSE TO USE THESE CHARACTERISTICS TO ESTIMATE THE STABILITY OF MAN-CAR SYSTEM. /AUTHOR/
