THE REFLECTABILITY OF REFLECTIVE MATERIALS OF VARIOUS COLORS AND REFLECTIVE INTENSITIES DURING NIGHT-DRIVING CONDITIONS /IN SWEDISH/
THE VISIBILITY OF THESE MATERIALS WAS STUDIED IN A FIELD EXPERIMENT IN WHICH MEASUREMENTS WERE MADE OF VISIBILITY DISTANCES WITH LOW-BEAM ILLUMINATION, AND WITH AND WITHOUT OPPOSING LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THE RESULTS INDICATE DIFFERENCES IN VISIBILITY DEPENDING ON DIFFERENCES IN REFLECTIVE INTENSITIES BETWEEN THE VARIOUS MAKES OF REFLECTIVE MATERIAL. HOWEVER, THE GREAT VARIATION IN REFLECTIVE INTENSITY THAT SEEMS TO EXIST FOR EACH MATERIAL MAKES IT NECESSARY TO INTERPRET THE RESULTS WITH GREAT CARE UNTIL THE REPRESENTATIVITY OF THE PRESENT SAMPLE HAS BEEN STUDIED. /SVI/RRL/
