ARTILLERY CONTROL OF AVALANCHES ALONG MOUNTAIN HIGHWAYS

PLANNING AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES ARE PRESENTED, AND CRITERIA FOR AVALANCHE CONTROL AND THE EVALUATION OF AVALANCHE HAZARD ARE DISCUSSED BASED ON FIELD DATA. A METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHEN GUNFIRE SHOULD COMMENCE IS OUTLINED.
