VEGETATION CONTROL ON ROADSIDES AND SIMILAR AREAS
HERBICIDES USED AT A RATE OF 0.5 LBS/ACRE WERE FOUND TO GIVE BETTER CONTROL WITH LESS DAMAGE TO OTHER PLANTS THAN THE HIGHER RATES OF 1 LB. AND 2 LBS. PER ACRE. COMMON MILKWEED IS STILL BEING USED AS THE TEST PLANT. PICLORAM, AMITROLE, DICAMBA AND FENAC, IN ADDITION TO 2,4-D AND 2,3,6-TBA GAVE GOOD RESULTS. /FHWA/
