ON VIBRATION OF BOILER GENERATING TUBES

A method of estimating frequency was established using models to simulate the actual tubes, and the theoretical analyses of the vibration of tube of a complicated shape was achieved by means of matrix treatment with high accuracy. Modulation of the natural frequency of the boiler tube bank by bending the tube slightly convex near the center of the roots of drums permits control of the natural frequency of tubes in order to avoid tube resonance with hull vibration.
