RELATION OF ABSORPTION AND SULFATE TEST RESULTS ON CONCRETE SANDS
AN INVESTIGATION WAS MADE BASED ON MAGNESIUM SULFATE SOUNDNESS AND ABSORPTION TESTS ON 409 SAMPLES OF FINE AGGREGATE FROM THE NEW ENGLAND, NORTH AND MIDDLE ATLANTIC STATES. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS RESULTS SHOWED THAT A HIGH CORRELATION EXISTED BETWEEN VALUES OBTAINED FROM THESE TWO TESTS.
