COMBINED HEAT AND RADIOCHEMICAL VULCANIZATION OF TIRES
DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF A METHOD OF VULCANIZATION OF TIRES, BASED ON THE COMBINED ACTION OF SULPHUR DURING HEATING AND OF IONIZING RADIATION. RESULTS OF LABORATORY AND BENCH TESTS ON EXPERIMENTAL TIRES SHOW THAT THEY HAVE A HIGHER ELASTICITY, STRENGTH, HEAT AGING RESISTANCE AND WEAR RESISTANCE.
