FEATURES OF THE ABRASION OF RUBBER ON A METAL GAUZE. /IN RUSSIAN/
FEATURES OF A GUAZE AS AN ABRADING SURFACE ARE PRESENTED, AND A CORRELATION ESTABLISHED BETWEEN ABRASION ON A GAUZE AND ON A CONTINUOUS METAL SURFACE. THE EFFECT OF LOAD DURING ABRASION IS ANALYZED, AND THE RELATION BETWEEN WEAR AND THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF VARIOUS TYPES OF RUBBER STUDIED. AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ROLE OF THE GAUZE PARAMETERS AND OF THE AREA OF THE SPECIMEN IS CARRIED OUT: A COMPARISON OF WEAR AT IDENTICAL DEFORMATION IS MADE, AND AN EQUATION PRESENTED GIVING THE RATIO OF ABRASIVE AND FRICTIONAL PARTS OF ABRASIAN. /RRL/
