POSSIBILITY OF RESTORING THE BEARING CAPACITY OF DAMAGED REINFORCED OR PRESTRESSED CONCRETE ELEMENTS WITH EPOXY RESINS /IN FRENCH/

RESEARCH CARRIED OUT IN RUMANIA ON THE USE OF EPOXY RESINS FOR REPAIRING PRECAST CONCRETE ELEMENTS IS REVIEWED. EMPHASIS IS LAID ON THE RESTORATION OF THE BEARING CAPACITY OF DEFECTIVE PRESTRESSED OR REINFORCED CONCRETE ELEMENTS. SEVERAL TYPES OF GLUE WERE TESTED IN THE LABORATORY, SOME OF THEM SUCCEEDED IN RESTORING 80 PER CENT OF THE ORIGINAL BEARING CAPACITY. RESEARCH WAS ALSO CARRIED OUT ON GLUEING TOGETHER CONCRETE ELEMENTS OF DIFFERENT AGES BY MEANS OF EPOXY RESIN. /LCPC/RRL/A/
