WEATHERING OF GLASS REINFORCED PLASTICS
THIS IS A SURVEY OF PUBLISHED DATA ON THE EFFECT OF WEATHERING ON THE MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF GLASS FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS MADE WITH POLYESTERS, EPOXIES, PHENOLICS, MELAMINES, SILICONES, AND ACRYLICS. OBSERVATIONS ARE PRESENTED ON THE INADEQUACIES OF REPORTED DATA AND ON FURTHER WORK NEEDED TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL INFORMATION ON THE DURABILITY OF PLASTICS.
