1965-66 MINNEAPOLIS-MILWAUKEE CARGUARD FIELD TEST
CARGUARD, A CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR USE WITH DEICING SALTS, WAS FIELD TESTED USING TEST RACKS ON VEHICLES DRIVEN IN THEIR NORMAL DAILY ROUTINE AND UNDER SALTING CONDITIONS DICTATED SOLELY BY WEATHER CONDITIONS AND THE MUNICIPAL WORKERS WHO APPLY DEICING SALT TO THE ROADWAYS. THE CITIES OF MINNEAPOLIS AND MILWAUKEE WERE CHOSEN TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS UNDER ACTUAL WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS WAS PERFORMED OF THE TEST RESULTS. CARGUARD WAS PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE IN REDUCING CORROSION ON AUTOMOBILES UNDER ACTUAL WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
