AUTOMATIC RECORDING OF MAIN ENGINE ORDERS AND PROPELLER SPEEDS ON SHIPS ( AUTOMATISCHES REGISTRIEREN VON HAUPTMASCH-INENKOMANDOS UND PROPELLERDREHZAHLEN AUF SCHIFFEN )

Two recorders are described employing SIMATIC N modules for telegraph orders and propeller speeds. Print-outs are used for general logging and are useful for inspections and as evidence in proceedings following damage to vessels. Reliability of units has been proved in a large number of installations which have been in operation for many years under the most severe conditions.
