TESTS ON LOADED BEAMS REINFORCED BY WELDING
THIS EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION DEALS WITH I-BEAMS WHOSE FLANGES WERE REINFORCED BY WELDED PLATES. WELDING CARRIED OUT UNDER A LOAD BELOW THE YIELD POINT HAS NO ILL EFFECTS ON THE FINAL BEHAVIOR OF THE REINFORCED MEMBER PROVIDED ALL APPROPRIATE STEPS ARE TAKEN TO PREVENT TORSIONAL- FLEXURAL BUCKLING.
