POLICE DRIVER TRAINING SHOULD BE ORIENTED AROUND ACTUAL POLICE WORK IN SITUATIONS INVOLVING AUTOS. THE POLICE DRIVER SHOULD BE TAUGHT HIS OWN LIMITATIONS AND THOSE OF THE EQUIPMENT HE IS USING. A FIVE-DAY WORKSHOP IS DESCRIBED, INCLUDING BOTH LECTURES AND PRACTICE DRIVING. /HSL/
