TRACTIVE RESISTANCE OF PASSENGER COACHES
Comparison of recent studies putting forward mathematical approaches, point to specific tractive resistances being lower than has been thought to be the case; results obtained in BR 200 km/h trials are compared and show favourable effect of longer trains comprising long coaches.
