WE WASH THAT SNOW RIGHT OUT OF OUR STREETS
STREET FLUSHERS WERE LOADED WITH A SOLUTION OF WATER AND ANTIRUST SALT AND SPRAYED ON STREETS WITH COMPACTED SNOW WHEN THE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOVE 25 DEGREES. THE SNOW TURNED TO SLUSH WHICH WAS THEN PLOWED ASIDE. THIS METHOD PROVED ECONOMICAL BECAUSE IT REQUIRES LESS SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT, WAS SAFE BECAUSE IT CLEARED CURBSIDE PARKING STALLS FROM ICE, AND IT ELIMINATED THE NECESSITY FOR SANDING WHICH ERODED THE TRAFFIC MARKINGS.
