DETERMINATION OF THE GRAIN SHAPE OF AGGREGATES AND ITS INFLUENCE /IN GERMAN/

AUTOMATIC EQUIPMENT FOR MEASURING LENGTH AND THICKNESS OF GRAINS, TOGETHER WITH THE RESULTS OBTAINED WITH IT, IS DESCRIBED. SPECIAL REFERENCE IS MADE TO THE CONNECTION BETWEEN GRAIN SIZE AND IMPACT STRENGTH. IT WAS ASCERTAINED THAT ALTHOUGH THE LENGTH OF THE GRAIN IS IMPORTANT, THE RATIO OF THE GRAIN WIDTH TO THE GRAIN THICKNESS HAS THE GREATEST EFFECT ON STRENGTH. /FG/RRL/
