THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE DISCUSSED: (1) CLASSIFICATION OF THE SLAGS ACCORDING TO THEIR USE IN WEARING COURSE, BINDER COURSE AND SUBBASE, (2) INFLUENCE OF THE COOLING PROCESS ON THE PHYSICAL QUALITY, (3) LAYER THICKNESSES OF BLAST-FURNACE SLAG WITH AND WITHOUT BITUMINOUS BINDER, (4) HYDRAULIC PROPERTIES, (5) EXPERIMENTAL ROADS AND RUNWAYS, (6) PLACING OF MINERAL CONCRETE, AND (7) WORKING TESTS-IN PARTICULAR RUSSIAN QUALITY CONTROL TESTS AND THE RELATION BETWEEN COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND DENSITY OF THE SLAG. /RRL/
