CONTROL OF SLURRY PREPARATION WITH THE AID OF AN X-RAY QUANTOMETER
AT THE END OF 1965, THE LABORATORY X-RAY QUANTOMETER WAS DEVELOPED. THIS MODEL HAS 6 X-RAY SPECTRUM CHANNELS OF A FIXED TYPE AND 5 INDEPENDENT INTERCHANGEABLE CALCULATING CHANNELS. THIS PERMITS QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF 5 OUT OF 6 CHEMICAL ELEMENTS: CALCIUM, IRON, SILICON, ALUMINUM SULFUR AND POTASSIUM OR THEIR OXIDES. THIS METHOD OF ANALYSIS WAS DEVELOPED FOR THE RAW MIXTURES. IT IS POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE CONTENT OF CALCIUM OXIDE AND IRON OXIDE IN 7-10 MINUTES, AND A COMPLETE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS FOR ALUMINUM OXIDE, SILICON DIOXIDE, CALCIUM OXIDE, AND IRON OXIDE IN 12-15 MINUTES. X- RAY SPECTRUM ANALYSIS WITH A QUANTOMETER OBTAINS AS GOOD RESULTS AS ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS AND ACHIEVES RESULTS VERY RAPIDLY. /AUTHOR/
