STUDY OF BEARING ELEMENTS CONSISTING OF KERAMSITE AND POLYMER CONCRETE BEAMS UNDER FLEXURAL STRESS

KERAMSITE POLYMER CONCRETE CAN BE SUCCESSFULLY USED IN THE BEARING ELEMENTS OF STRUCTURES UNDER HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT CONDITIONS OR IN AGGRESSIVE MEDIA. THE RIGIDITY AND STRENGTH OF KERAMSITE POLYMER CONCRETE CAN BE ENHANCED BY MEANS OF STANDARD REINFORCEMENT OF THE BENT AND STRESSED ZONES AND BY MEANS OF MORE RIGID ELEMENTS MADE WITH ECONOMICAL MATERIALS (HIGH-STRENGTH REINFORCED CONCRETE, COMPRESSED ASBESTOS-CEMENT, ETC) IN THE ZONE UNDER COMPRESSION. THE BEARING CAPACITY AND DEFORMATION PROPERTIES OF POLYMER KERAMSITE REINFORCED CONCRETE CONTAINING ADDITIONS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE CAN BE DETERMINED APPROXIMATELY BY USING CALCULATION METHODS FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE WITH CORRECTION COEFFICIENTS. THESE ELEMENTS RETAIN ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS OF POLYMER REINFORCED CONCRETE, BUT THEIR DEFORMABILITY DECREASES MARKEDLY. /TRRL/
