MEASUREMENT OF MOISTURE IN HARDENED CONCRETE USING NEUTRON MODERATION METHOD
THE NON-DESTRUCTIVE MEASURING IS DESCRIBED OF THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF HARDENED CEMENT CONCRETE, BY MEANS OF A FAST NEUTRON RADIO-ACTIVE ISOTOPE IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIALLY DESIGNED SURFACE PROBE. THE METHOD, OPERATING ON THE PRINCIPLE OF NEUTRON MODERATION BY HYDROGEN ATOMS OF WATER, IS QUICK AND THE REPRODUCIBILITY OF MEASUREMENT IS SATISFACTORY. /RRL/
