MAGNESIUM FLUOSILICATE SURFACE TREATMENT FOR CONCRETE SURFACINGS (IN RUSSIAN)
THE TECHNIQUE IS DESCRIBED OF APPLYING A MAGNESIUM FLUOSILICATE SOLUTION TO A WASHED AND DRIED CONCRETE SURFACING. THE TREATMENT IS CARRIED OUT IN TWO STAGES AT 1 TO 2 HOURS INTERVAL. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF TESTS IN WHICH SOLUTIONS OF INCREASING CONCENTRATION (6,14 AND 20 PER CENT) HAVE BEEN USED. THE FORCE NEEDED TO PULL AWAY 76 METAL DISCS GLUED WITH AN EPOXY RESIN SUBSTANCE TO 38 TREATED SECTIONS AND 38 CONTROL SECTIONS WAS 6.15 AND 3.66 BARS RESPECTIVELY. A DESCRIPTION IS PRESENTED OF A SPREADING MACHINE WHICH CAN TREAT 50 TO 60 SQ.M PER MINUTE. /LCPC/RRL/
