FULL SCALE TESTS OF GREAT LAKES BULK CARRIER LEON FRASER IN ICE FIELDS 1972-73. PART I: TRIAL MANUAL
The objective of this full scale test program is to determine if the ice resistance of Great Lakes bulk carriers can be reduced with an air coating, or bubbler system. The report describes the preparations for the testing of an experimental system aboard the U.S. Steel Corporation's ore carrier Leon Fraser. The Trial Manual describes the test plan, procedures, organization and schedule. (Modified author abstract)
