Compaction of Subgrades and Embankments
There are two major wartime road responsibilities: to keep essential war effort traffic moving and to keep the existing roads in as good a condition as possible for the duration of the war. Discharge of these responsibilities entails consideration of many factors including conditions and limitations created by the current national situation. The recommendations presented here are based upon wartime restrictions in order to meet wartime requirements and needs.
