SUBSEQUENT DETERMINATION OF THE COMPOSITION OF CONCRETE BY MEANS OF A STEREOLOGICAL TECHNIQUE
NACHTRAEGLICHE BESTIMMUNG DER ZUSAMMENSETZUNG VON BETON MIT HILFE EINES STEREOLOGISCHEN VERFAHRENS
THE SUBSEQUENT DETERMINATION OF CONCRETE COMPOSITION HAS HITHERTO BEEN POSSIBLE WITH THE AID OF CHEMICAL TECHNIQUES. EVALUATION OF THESE IS DIFFICULT IF THE AGGREGATE CONTAINS SOLUBLE COMPONENTS. THE PROPOSED STEREOLOGICAL TECHNIQUE IS INDEPENDENT OF THIS AND DETERMINES, AMONGST OTHER THINGS, THE CEMENT CONTENT AND THE WATER/CEMENT RATIO, FROM WHICH THE VOLUMES AND DENSITIES OF THE CONCRETE CONSTITUENTS ARE DETERMINED. THE THEORETICAL BASES OF THE STEREOLOGICAL TECHNIQUE, ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATION AND THE FIRST RESULTS OF TEST CONCRETES ARE REPORTED. THE CEMENT CONTENT AND THE WATER/CEMENT RATIO WERE SUBSEQUENTLY DETERMINED WITH A MEAN ACCURACY OF AROUND 5 PERCENT.
