CALCULATING TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN CONCRETE SLABS CAUSED BY CLIMATIC INFLUENCES. PRINCIPLES AND UNIDIMENSIONAL PROBLEMS

BERECHNUNG DER TEMPERATURVERTEILUNG IN BETONBAUTEILEN INFOLGE KLIMATISCHER EINFLUESSE. GRUNDLAGEN UND EINDIMENSIONALE PROBLEME.

BOUNDARY CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE TOP AND UNDERSIDES OF CONCRETE SURFACES ARE INFLUENCED BY THE FOLLOWING: (1) HEAT TRANSFER CAUSED BY CONVECTION; (2) THE ABSORPTION OF HEAT CAUSED BY SOLAR RADIATION; (3) HEAT RADIATION; (4) ATMOSPHERIC HEAT REFLECTION; (5) THE CONDUCTION OF HEAT INTO THE CONCRETE. THESE PROCESSES ARE REPRESENTED BY MEANS OF FORMULAE. THE MIDSUMMER TEMPERATURE LOAD FOR A PARKING AREA (200 MM CONCRETE, 40 MM STYROPOR, 30 MM CONCRETE) IS GIVEN FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATION. THE TEMPERATURE PATTERN OVER A PERIOD OF DAYS FOR A STREET SURFACE (CONCRETE WITH ASPHALT SURFACE) OVERLYING AN UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE IS GIVEN IN A SECOND EXAMPLE. THE TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF A QUICK GATHERING HAIL STORM FOLLOWING ON A PERIOD OF GOOD WEATHER IS ALSO MENTIONED.
