ECONOMIC METHODS OF BUILDING RAIN RESERVOIRS AND OIL TRAPS

THE INCREASING SEALING OF THE SOIL CAUSED BY LARGE AREAS OF ROAD MEANS THAT DURING HEAVY RAINFALL CONSIDERABLE QUANTITIES OF SURFACE WATER OCCUR, WHICH ARE CONDUCTED TO THE NEAREST RECIPIENT WATER. THIS WATER MAY BE POLLUTED BY OIL DEPOSITS ON THE ROAD WHICH ARE SWEPT AWAY WITH THE SURFACE WATER. THE INCREASING REQUIREMENTS OF ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND THE INCREASINGLY LIMITED ABSORPTION CAPACITY OF THE RECIPIENT WATER HAVE LED TO A SITUATION WHERE DRAINAGE OF ROADS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT RAIN RESERVOIRS AND OIL TRAPS, WHICH ARE VERY EXPENSIVE TO MANUFACTURE AND MAINTAIN. THE OBJECT OF THE PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE OPERATIONAL SOLUTIONS WHICH ARE AS LOW-COST AS POSSIBLE.
