A SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION IS TO BE MADE OF THE RESULTS OF RESEARCH ON THE SUBJECT OF PURE TORSION AND ON THE STATES OF STRESS COMBINED WITH TORSION IN REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS. ON THE BASIS OF THESE STUDIES GENERAL VALID PRINCIPLES ARE TO BE DERIVED WHICH FACILITATE THE DESIGN OF A STRUCTURAL ELEMENT UNDER COMBINED STRESS FOR THE WORKING SITUATION, AND THE DETERMINATION OF ITS DEFORMATION BEHAVIOUR.
