EVALUATION OF RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS
FOUR TYPES OF RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS WERE STUDIED BOTH IN THE LABORATORY AND UNDER ACTUAL TRAFFIC CONDITIONS IN AN EFFORT TO DETERMINE PROPERTIES NEEDED TO PROVIDE SUPPEMENTAL MARKINGS FOR PAINTED LINES. THE STUDY RESULTED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW TESTING PROCEDURE FOR REFLECTIVITY AND A REVISED SPECIFICATION FOR RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS. /AUTHOR/
