THIS REPORT DEALS WITH THE CROSS SECTION OF PREMOULDED PRESTRESSED CONCRETE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAY BRIDGES, WHICH IS PART OF THE ARGENTINIAN DRAFT STANDARD. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF THE EFFICIENCY, THICKNESSES AND LIMIT TENSILE STRENGTH. THE OPTIMUM USE OF 4 TYPES OF BEAM IS ANALYZED TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE AVERAGE THICKNESS AND OVERALL PRESTRESSING FORCE NECESSARY. GRAPHS ARE GIVEN TO DETERMINE THE NECESSARY DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MEMBERS AS A FUNCTION OF THE TYPE OF BEAM, THICKNESS OF THE SLAB, LENGTH OF THE SPAN AND WIDTH OF THE CARRIAGEWAY.
