EFFECT OF BENDING MOMENT AND TORSION ON DIAPHRAGMS OF I-SECTION
EFECTO DEL MOMENTO FLEXO-TORSOR EN LOS DIAFRAGMAS DE SECCION I
THE BEHAVIOUR OF THIN WALL SECTIONS WHICH BUCKLE UNDER THE ACTION OF LOADING IS EXAMINED. THE BEHAVIOUR OF CONCRETE DIAPHRAGMS CORRESPONDS TO THAT OF THIS TYPE OF SECTION. THE TWO MOMENT THEORY OF VLASOV IS APPLIED TO THE I-SECTION, FOLLOWING THE GRAPHICAL SOLUTION OF VERISHIAGUIN. THE BEHAVIOUR OF A GROUP OF DIAPHRAGMS IS EXAMINED BY MEANS OF THE DEFORMATION METHOD, USING FINALLY THE METHOD OF FORCES. THIS PROCEDURE FOR THE I-SECTION IS COMPARED WITH OTHER METHODS WHICH CONSIST IN THE IDEAL SEPARATION OF THE TRANSVERSE PROFILE INTO DIFFERENT PARTIAL AREAS, SO THAT THE SECTION DOES NOT BUCKLE. THE PROBLEMS ARE RESOLVED AND SOLUTIONS COMPARED.
