STUDY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF A COMPETITION VEHICLE

ESTUDIO DE LAS PRESTACIONES DE UN VEHICULO DE COMPETICION

FROM SEVERAL SIMPLE THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS, THE AUTHOR DEVELOPS A MATHEMATICAL MODEL WHICH ALLOWS THE RELATION BETWEEN INSTANTANEOUS SPEED, DISTANCE TRAVELLED AND TIME REQUIRED TO BE OBTAINED, WHEN A VEHICLE IS DRIVEN UNDER CONDITIONS SUCH THAT MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE CAN BE OBTAINED. THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS APPLIED TO PUBLISHED EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON A COMPETITION VEHICLE AND CONCLUSIONS ARE DRAWN FOR FUTURE APPLICATION.
