APPLICATION OF THE CREEP THEORY IN REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONSTRUCTION OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIDGES

THIS SHORT REPORT DESCRIBES THE INTRODUCTION OF CREEP LAWS IN REGULATION SN 365-67. THE CALCULATION OF CREEP EFFECTS IS BASED ON THE NOTION OF STRESS EQUIVALENT TO CREEP DEFORMATION. CHARTS ARE GIVEN FOR THE CALCULATION OF THESE EQUIVALENT STRESSES, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE NON-LINEAR CREEP FOLLOWING THE LEVEL OF APPLIED STRESS IN RELATION TO CONCRETE STRENGTH.
