OPTIMUM TWO-LAMP HEADLIGHTING SYSTEMS
The development of a three-beam mode, two-headlamp lighting system was studied; beam pattern specifications for optimized low, mid, and high beams were devised and used as targets for lamp construction. Comparative visibility with lamps based on these specifications was not as good as that from similar three-beam mode, four-headlamp systems, and it was concluded it could not be made so. (Author)
