IT IS SHOWN THAT THE DEFLECTIONS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS UNDER SHORT- AND LONG-TERM LOADS CAN BE PREDICTED WITH SIMPLE FORMULAE FOR ANY STATE OF DEFORMATION FROM THE STAGE PRIOR TO CRACKING UP TO RUPTURE.
